I am, Tandria Creator of Tandria's Ultra Unique Creations, owner of Tandria's Ultra Unique hair salon. I started doing business for myself ( self employed ) in 1979.Thirty (30) years later, not only have I excelled beyond my own expectations originally but I am now ... Chief Executive Officer of my own endeavors, my set effort to reach and achieve my own goals. The serious and direct effort, seemingly endless professional activity, wherewithal, tenacity, and, never quitting, never giving up stamina......has paid off in the form of this ENTERPRISE! Yes due diligences has allowed me to discover the greatness within, and so can you. I became interested in advertising when I realized there was a need to draw business, and cliental in order to make the most out of the profession I choose to focus on. I initially wrote and produced my first commercial while working in another woman’s hair and nail salon. My next commercial, I call my classic Tandria's Ultra Unique commercial, you might remember...

"STOP THOSE BULKY BRAID WEAVES THAT MAKE YOU LOOK AND FEEL LIKE A POODLE, AND TOSS THAT BONDING GLUE THAT'S PULLING AND TEARING OUT YOUR HAIR, TAKE A BREAK FROM THOSE LENGTHY TIME CONSUMING BRAID JOBS, AND THOSE WEAVE MACHINES ARE THE PITTS BECAUSE THERE JUST CHOPPING OFF YOUR HAIR.. IT'S TIME FOR THE KNOBINOJE WEAVE SYSTEM..
BECAUSE ITS NOT JUST DIFFERENT IT'S ULTRA... UNIQUE, UNIQUE, UNIQUE!!"

The idea for my CLASSIC COMMERCIAL  entered my mind many years prior to the actual  production , First the vision then the manifestation it changed my life forever to realize  this ability  to write and produce commercials ,then air them on T.V…it  was amazing !!
Fox News, sent a crew to interview during the taping of the first ULTRA UNIQUE commercial, they were doing a special on (funny commercials). Robin Robertson set the tone, and paved the way with an outstanding introduction that I’ll never forget and I’ll always thank her for…………"She’s poised to become the next biggest thing in television commercials, coming up next! “When asked where the inspiration for the creation Knobinoje came from I said to the reporter,” It is a Gift from GOD.”
Shortly thereafter commercial #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, etc., etc. on and on commercials for days…television, radio, multi media advertisement, billboards. News papers, magazine, etc, etc, etc, and I can prove it . As a specialist in the field of Cosmetology  I’ve had wonderful opportunities  and endless ventures for displaying, illustrating, and utilizing my gifts talents and skills .

The Jenny Jones show allowed me to “Express myself”, periodically calling me in to the studio for services, sometimes I would do look-alike makeovers, and often times the purpose would be to simply give the guest more confidence while on stage being viewed by all of America. I was never angry about the pay …..after all I had  to pack my bags and move my salon services to another location ( The N B C building down town Chicago) from my 1961 E. 73rd St  location, it was fun! Speaking of the 73rd St Location, I’ve been here for 14 (fourteen) years. Wow starting your own business may seem like a lot of work, but be like Nike   and just do it!  Remember faith without works is dead! My cliental is great... I call them the movers and shakers of this earth, God forbid I start naming names, that would be a major responsibility. Let me just say that I’m Blessed to have Sisters real Sisters that support my mission in this life, oh yes I call these Ladies…My Sisters they Love me for who I AM, and I still get to pay my bills and live a good life. Loving someone should not require you to make foolish sacrifices, I've never had to give my services away for free in order to feel appreciated. How ever Giving is the greatest thing I’ve ever done. So don’t call me asking about discounts…..everything comes in good timing and, I work real hard to please YOU!!!!!!!!

Onyx  Vocational  (the studio  of nails, make/up, hair extensions, hair wefting  #1 and #2, making hand tied wefts of hair, weaving with a weave loom , braid weaving,  toupees for men and women, etc...

1. Wilfred Academy……Cosmetology and all that it entails.
2. Pretty Girl Molding School….. More nails, more make/up, modeling etc.
3. Cleo Johnson’s Modeling school…….here the founder asked me to instruct…
4. Lena’s School of Beauty in the year 2006, purpose…to obtain my instructors license…where it was also suggested that I instruct while attending.
